A passion becomes an enterprise

In 2002, at the age of sixteen, Alberic Godderis fell under the charm of organs. His hobby became a passion, his passion his profession.

Alberic started renting organs during his high school days. After a short internship in 2007 with organ builder Verbeeck (Antwerp), Alberic decided to finish his economic studies.

In 2010 he moved at the request of Museum Speelklok in Utrecht, one of the most prestigious organizations in the field, to the Netherlands to work there as a restorer of wind instruments. The experience gained in the museum made him head of the restoration workshop in 2018. Surrounded by a wide range of mechanical musical instruments, he worked on restoration projects where authenticity and quality were central.

In addition to his career at the museum, Alberic has all this time been active as a self-employed person in the restoration, valuation and rental of organs and related items. In 2020, he expanded his self-employed activities further, establishing a barrel organ workshop on the Belgian coast, where new instruments and organ books are made in addition to the restoration of old ones.
